Some April Things

April was a big month of change for Grady- he moved into his "big boy bed" and is out of diapers! We took a day and stayed at home in his "underwears" and baked cookies. Love a little guy in his underoos! Notice the special juice goblet he got to drink out of to encourage lots of drinking and pottying. He did a great job!
We took Grady and Emory on their first trip crabbing. It was a beautiful day, but no crabs (besides the one the size of a half dollar).

Luckily there was another family there that had a two year old for Grady to play with.
My attempts at catching the kids in their matching red, white and blue attire.

This Kid Makes Me Laugh

Grady loves a peanut-butter sandwich. This one is a little larger than usual, and he is sizing it up before his big, awkward bite. (Probably something only his parents think is funny.)

Grady so rarely dances, we had to catch this on video.

Milestones

       Some milestones this week:
Grady moved into his "big boy bed" tonight. He was so excited all day."I'm a big boy? I eat gum?" No gum, but he did get to move out of the crib.
He was very excited, until it was time for mom and dad to leave the room. Then it was,"Not so fast."
Grady decided last minute he wanted to go back to his crib. I tried this:
And after a few songs, he let us leave the room and fell asleep.
Something else Grady learned to do this week was spell his name:

Not to be left out, Emory had a milestone, too. Here she is kicking her toys for the first time.

Palm Sunday Performance

If you want to watch 2 and a half minutes of Grady standing in front of the church NOT singing, then this video is for you!

2 Month Check-Up

Emory had her 2 month check-up last week! She was 12 lbs (52nd %ile) and 24 3/4 in. long (85th %ile, but I think the nurse measured her about 1/2 inch too long). Her head was in the 75th %ile.  She got 3 immunizations. I've never seen her little face so bright red as she screamed. But she thankfully did not have any bad reactions except a little soreness.
We have a wedding tonight and Emory is joining us, dressed in her finery!

Earlier today we picked strawberries and had a little picnic.

Grady did a great job picking ripe berries. He was really excited to ride the tractor, too.
